Writers of Westmoreland is a partner of the Western Pennsylvania Writing Project and the University of Pittsburgh. We exist to aspire both teachers of writing and student writers to explore multiple genres of writing in a supportive and stimulating community of thinkers.
Writers of Westmoreland cultivates teachers who write, teachers who learn, and teachers of students who grow!
Our Young Writers Institute invites students rising in grades 4th-12th to develop their craft in a collaborative workshop environment. Photographs of the 2017 institute in addition to our most recent published anthology can be viewed here.
Continuity workshop events for both teachers and students are offered at various times throughout the year. Please follow us on Twitter @Writers of WM or visit our Upcoming Workshops page for existing learning opportunities.
